Paul Bolland is a professional football player who started his career with his home town team of Bradford City at the start of the 1997/1998 season after progressing through the clubs youth setup.

After struggling to break into the first team at Bradford, he joined Notts County, initially on loan, and then permanently for £75,000. Bolland was unexpectedly not given a contract extension by Notts County at the end of the 2004-05 season, prompted him to join Grimsby. On arriving Bolland told of his great pleasure of signing for the club, but mentioned that he was a little annoyed with the Notts County manager, Gudjon Thordarson, for freezing him out and given the chance, he would probably still be at the club.
