Paul Bogdanor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paul Bogdanor is an investor and author who lives in London. His father is the constitutional expert Vernon Bogdanor. He writes on political issues and, with Edward Alexander (a professor at the University of Washington, Seattle), he edited the book The Jewish Divide Over Israel: Accusers and Defenders (Transaction, 2006).

He is strongly critical of what he sees as left-wing extremism and anti-Semitism. A particular focus of his political work has been exposing what he perceives as genocide denial, especially in regard to what are considered Communist atrocities, e.g. the Cambodian genocide perpetuated by the Khmer Rouge under the regime of Pol Pot. He has also vehemently denounced what he construes as Holocaust denial, or apologetics for those he considers Holocaust deniers. To this end, he has repeatedly criticized left-wing academics such as Noam Chomsky and Norman Finkelstein, whom he accuses of defending avowed neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers.
