Paul Bishop (actor)

Paul Bishop, born in 1964 in Gladstone, Queensland is an Australian actor of television and theater.
Bishop's film debut was a minor role in the 1997 movie Paradise Road. He is best known for playing Sergeant Ben Stewart on Blue Heelers from 1998 to 2004. He appeared with Claudia Karvan in the TeleMovie " Never Tell me Never". He also has extensive theatre credits in productions such as Three Days of Rain, Money and Friends, Take Me Out, The Shaughraun, at Melbourne Theatre Company, Blackrock, The John Wayne Principle, As You Like It, Poor Superman, Saint Joan and Money and Friends with The Sydney Theatre Company. Romeo and Juliet, Oedipus the King, Away, Taming of the Shrew" for Queensland Theatre Company. He is currently performing the show " Operator" at La Boite theatre in Brisbane. In 2006, Bishop will appear in the movie 48 Shades, based on the Nick Earls novel 48 Shades of Brown. He will next appear in Carnivores for Black Swan Theatre, Perth. Later in 2006, The Woman Before and Puss in Boots with Queensland Theatre Company.
He is brother to Steven Bishop, a former dentist and now clown for Cirque du Soleil's Varekai, and Michael Bishop, a former model and creator of the Alchemy Cordial Company.
