Paul Avery

Paul Avery (born in Honolulu, Hawaii - died December 10th, 2000, Orcas Island, Washington age 66) was a journalist involved in the Zodiac Killer and Patricia Hearst cases, co-writing "The Voices of Guns" about the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) & Hearst kidnapping with Vin McLellan. He worked for the Sacramento Bee, San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Examiner.
At the time of his death, he was married to Margo St. James. He had two children from an earlier marriage, Charle Avery and Cristin Moak.
He was portrayed in the 2007 film Zodiac by Robert Downey Jr..
