[edit] A welcome from Sputnik

Hi, Patroklis, Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello, bonjour, salut, privyet, konichiwa, shalom, hola, salve, sala'am, bonjourno, and hi! I'm Sputnik. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". We're glad to have you in our community! I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful. If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. Here are a few links to get you started:
And remember:
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
  • P.S. I'm happy to help new users. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

Happy Wiki-ing!

[edit] 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women

  • Hello! Thanks for your help with the Chinese Taipei flag. Didn't realize it. But, you changed the wording of the subsections from the words to the numbers (fifth vs 5th), and I'm trying to understand why. I modeled that section directly from the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Men and they have those words spelled out and not using their numbered representation. Thanks for any information.Figgie123 13:53, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please support complement EU !!!

Hi,as a EU supporter maybe you´d like to support this: I´m trying to implement the 'EU' in the city-templates of European city articles. The EU should be mentioned next to the country; like country : Spain / EU Please support the enhancement in these templates and argue for the innovation if you want to. Would be great.

all the best Lear 21 22:43, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Χαίρε

I noticed that you know a bit of Greek. Would you like to help with the request for an ancient Greek wikipedia? The request can be found here [1] LeighvsOptimvsMaximvs 12:06, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Age category

Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:

If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 13:20, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greek etymologies

[edit] Greek etymologies

Hi Patroklis. A cleanup project has been lying stagnant for months due to me "leaving" the wiki. Essentially, it's just standardising some etymologies from ancient Greek - the original contributions were mostly correct but some were transliterated etc. and the whole thing was generally a mess. Would you consider taking on the task? Info is at Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/Greek etymologies. haz (talk) e 07:18, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
