Please stop making changes to this page... the school administration is reacting very badly and is only causing more and more people to be blamed for writing something on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is even blocked in school now! So please just stop editing and let the situation cool down. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 125.23.76.79 (talk) 18:30, 7 December 2006 (UTC).

BUT WHY??? First of all- it's not like EVEYONE has bad things to say about the school. Take the user pws4fos for instance. The only thing they have been saying is describing the faculty and facilities, nothing negsative in a NEUTRAL,UNEMOTIONAL,and UNBIASED tone. Check out the history of edits made by this user and you will come to know the truth. After all, PWS4fos, helped to clean up the page a bit.

Secondly- what the hell(icopter) is wrong with talking about a school on the internet. We're not in China where we have no freedom of speech. Lastly WHO CARES?? How many people in the world do you think actually visit this wiki- I mean, until the director mentioned it- hardly anybody had heard of it. It is for this reason that I will continue my efforts to clean up this wiki, as I consider the deletion of material a form of vandalism, I will lodge a complaint with a moderator, asking them to block users such as testtemp, whose sole "contribution" to the site is the removal of completely factual information. PWS4fos 11:06, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Iv rewritten the entire article. its all facts and none of it is from the pws website. Whoever went and deleted my criticism post Adhishb 11:32, 9 December 2006 (UTC)should first go and work on the school before deleting facts written about it. anyways ill keep reentering the facts as and when they get deleted so dont even try. The reason I have posted something on the discussion page is due to the reaction of the school to the situation, instead of simply editing the page and letting the incident pass to see if the changes are reverted back, the director announced the same in morning assembly which simply made the situation worse for the school. I personally find this the worst possible reaction they could have had to such a situation. The school (probably the management) wants to trace down who wrote the criticism as seen in the end of this edit [1]. They are determined to do so and have apparently contacted Wikipedia as well as concerned internet service providers for details (this is what students were told) which could help the school find the "culprit" , whose "crime" is expressing what he sees as factual information about the school. The school is also telling students that the authorities are involved, I do not see any content of that article that could even qualify for involvement of the authorities, and any school management in its right mind would avoid such involvement! I do not wish to comment more on how unpractical the schools reaction has been to both students and faculty: access to www.wikipedia.com has been blocked since 6th December 2006 (Wednesday) till date. With roughly 90% of the students using Wikipedia as an important reference for information this criticism mentioning teachers names has been a cause for a great disruption of academics in school, and all of this due to one reason, and that reason clearly lies in the desperate quest to find out who is "guilty" of writing factual information (as he sees those facts: it does not make it a personal opinion as even facts are perceived and perception varies from individual to individual). The school has been telling us that if we write such things about OUR school on Wikipedia then we are writing about ourselves since the school is not its buildings but its students. In these statements the school has missed out on an important point: a school is not the buildings; it is the students, the teachers, the faculty, the management and most importantly the principles which the school bases itself on, which in the case of Pathways World School the fundamental guideline for the functioning of the school is the concept of a World School. I am disappointed to have to say that these guidelines are only a smoke screen as seen in the way they have reacted to this situation of childish and immature criticism (written in poor English). This disappointment is not felt in one individual, it is not felt only by the students, not only by the teachers and principals: it is felt by the community of Pathways, where we are supposed to be united here in the goal of living in a Global society. The disappointment is that the goal for which this community exists is requirement for the ultimate goal of marketing. That is the disappointment that we feel as a community, and it is the biggest disappointment that could ever be.

Thank You. -signed- A member of the Global community at Pathways. 59.144.186.160 19:14, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

wanna know whos guilty? im signing my name after each edit nd its not even a screenname . Adhishb 03:55, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

  • ahem* PLEASE LISTEN/RESPOND you punks! First of all, Adishb,I agree with you, but all that stuff about wanting to get the school is, with no offence, NONSENSE. This is not the first time that the "institution" known as Pathways has put up false threats. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the moderator who the school admin has contacted laughed at their horrible English, and laughed even more when s/he read their request to remove the article, responding something like: "Go learn some English you freaking Commies!" We must remember that the school MUST be considered more of a corporation than an actual school. Anyways, seeing as you are one of the 3 users updating this page who are actually intelligent, I was wondering why you removed some of my sections like "slang" and "secret socities".Please copy these sections from user JhonathanJouty's edit (added Butter Buddies Club) from the history, and add them back into the site, as I am currently working on a project that inhibits me from spending to much time on the pedia. With thanks, Fighting for the Freedom Of Speech- PWS4fos 14:55, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Stop removing the criticm section its just going to come back Adhishb 15:02, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ad or Brochure

currently the page is too much like a website or a brochure mentioning all the great facilities on offer. Can we add some details ? Size of school ( ie no of students), academic results in last session ( facts please like no of students passing, avg % , and not POV like "terrible performance" )?. [edit] Controversy

Looked into the discussion out here, my two bit's worth is if anything generates controversy, discuss is on this talk page and get consensus before putting it onto the article. Haphar 13:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

there is nothing wrong with this article and i welcome anyone to come and improve it. the article has even stuck to the template set on other pages regardgin articles about schools. even considering to delete it just doesnt make sence. anyways the whole controversy about this page is regarding the criticsm section which the school doesnt want to be included and keeeps deleting it without even discussing it here. the school wants this page to be sort of an advertisment and not really discuss what the school is about. several wikipedia pages have a critiscm section and so i guess the school should just learn to deal with it or improve the school if it cant instead of just deleting the article and banning wikipedia in the school. dont kill free speach. Adhishb 02:09, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

If some data ( like size of school, number of students as well as no of teachers) could be added to the article, as well as some press / internet coverage links be given in the talk ( not press releases but any article written) it would help prove notability and avoid deletion. Haphar 16:21, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

theres already a lot of data on this page including info about the number of students, subjects offered, campus nd curiculum info including subjects offered etc..ill work on adding external links as well...i still cant see why this article is even being considered for deletion...Adhishb 02:09, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

There is not data on number of students, just subjects and curiculum, which can be had from the website too. Also in criticism there are comments on "highest failure rate", what was this rate ? 70% 90% ? no facts are given just opinions, also there are no links to outside , no references, no sources to back these claims, there is no article in the news nor any thrid party coverage of the school. Without data and facts the page would get deleted. Haphar 07:12, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
