Talk:Pat O'Rawe

[edit] Description
Various changes have been made to the article. Firstly, I've now tried to make it as clear as possible that (to the best of my knowledge), O'Rawe remains an elected SF representative, just not at Assembly level. Secondly, on describing her location/nationality, there is a consensus that we should use terms that people themselves would accept, unless they are confusing. So "Irish" is the best description for O'Rawe, whereas for a Unionist politician, "Northern Irish" is likely to be the best description. Finally, a minor point, but names are usually only given in the form FirstName "Nickname" Surname in North America; for British and Irish subjects, this can come across quite awkwardly and is not usually used. - No doubt O'Rawe would describe herself as being a SF cllr in the British occupied six counties, SF (and to a lesser extent SDLP) have a different set of references to other political parties so lets not go down that route - however she is Not a former SF politician as suggested Weggie 17:23, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Independent
I've removed the independent politicians category pending some evidence. A quick search hasn't turned up any reference to her becoming an independent - and with Hyland standing against SF, I'd have thought it would have been newsworthy. Warofdreams talk 18:27, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Actually you're right, sorry I totally misread the article. One Night In Hackney303 18:29, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
