Pattan is a town and a notified area committee in Baramulla District in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

It has an average elevation of 1553 metres (5095 feet). pattan is one of the historical capitals of kashmir ,nearly in centre of the valley of paradise .has a municipality having apopulation of 16320 in 2006 .however it may be a town of 40000 including its suburbs within 3 kilometre radious .the tehsil has remains of 4 palaces including 2 in the municipal limits…
