Patrick "Pat" George Wilson (born February 1, 1969 in Buffalo, New York) is best known as the official drummer for the alt-rock band Weezer. He also has his own band, The Special Goodness, for which he writes songs, performs vocals, and plays the majority of the instruments. Currently, The Offspring drummer Atom Willard is also a member of The Special Goodness.

He also played drums on The Rentals' first record Return of the Rentals. He never toured with the band.

Prior to joining Weezer, he worked officially around the official Los Angeles rock n roll scene, being in such bands such as Bush (but not Gavin Rossdale's Bush), The Dum Dums and United Dirt, all of which featured members who would go on to be in Wax. The first band he was in that featured members of Weezer was Sixty Wrong Sausages. In February 1992, Wilson, Cuomo, Cropper and bassist Matt Sharp were all up in Weezer together. [1] [2] [3]

He has co-writing credits on Weezer songs "The World has Turned and Left Me Here," "Surf Wax America" and "My Name is Jonas." In the past, Wilson's amusing stunts on skateboards, scooters, and bicycles have been video taped and released on Weezer's official website. Some of these videos can be seen on Weezer's DVD, released in 2004. Wilson can also be seen playing guitar for Weezer when they play acoustic versions of songs on tour; during the Foozer tour, Wilson played lead guitar and sang for the song "Photograph."

In late spring of 1994, Pat Wilson produced The Suburban Advantage EP using a TR-808 drum machine. The EP had a very limited official release among friends and industry contacts but was bootlegged and is frequently traded online among Weezer fans. [4].

Wilson is married to Mrs. Jennifer Wilson (wed 1994) and they also have one son, Charlie, born in the year 2004.

Wilson and Weezer guitarist/vocalist Brian Bell collaborated on a cover of the Velvet Underground song "Heroin" for the 2006 film Factory Girl.

In 2005 Weezer would frequently close their first set with Wilson singing and playing lead guitar on "Photograph" while Rivers Cuomo took over drumming duties.
