Patrick Wayne (born July 15, 1939, in Los Angeles, California), is an American entertainment personality and the son of movie icon John Wayne. He has appeared as an actor in, among many other films, McLintock!, Shenandoah, Mister Roberts, All My Children, Texas Detour, Big Jake, The Gatling Gun, and Ray Harryhausen's cult hit Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, as well as hosting the 1990 revival of Tic Tac Dough and appearing in a string of Old Spice aftershave lotion television commercials. He is rumored to have been offered the role of Superman in 1978, but declined because of his father's failing health.
