Patrick Traverse (born March 14, 1974 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a professional hockey player currently playing for the San Jose Sharks organization. He is currently playing for the Sharks' AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks. Traverse was traded to San Jose on December 18, 2006, in exchange for Mathieu Biron. He is 6'4" tall, 207 lbs in weight and shoots left. He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the third round, 50th overall in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.
Traverse is a defenceman that has played for five different NHL teams throughout his career. He has frequently played in the AHL in between NHL stints.
