Patrick Leclercq

Patrick Leclercq (born 1938) was the Minister of State of Monaco. He was appointed on January 5, 2000, replacing Michel Lévêque. He had previously served as France's ambassador to Spain.

Leclercq was born in Lille and graduated from Ecole nationale d'administration (ENA). He was due formally to step down on May 1, 2005 and to be replaced by Jean-Paul Proust, but Proust's inauguration was deferred for a few weeks owing to the death of ruling Prince Rainier.
