Patrick Henry Middle School (Sioux Falls, South Dakota)

Patrick Henry Middle School is the oldest and largest middle school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota[citation needed]. The school had around 1,091 students enrolled in the 2005-2006 school year [1]. On the Dakota Step, a standardized test administered to comply with NCLB, the school scored 53% on the math area. The state average was 55%. However in the reading area, the school scored 88% on the Dakota Step Test, 11% above the mean score for South Dakota[citation needed].
The "2006 Sioux Falls Teacher of the Year," Karyn Veenis, currently teaches 6th grade Social Studies at Patrick Henry Middle School[citation needed].

The Patrick Henry Panther's school sports for boys are football, cross country, wrestling, basketball, and track and field. The girls' sports are volleyball, cross country, basketball, gymnastics, and track and field.
Patrick Henry's school colors are blue and gold.
