Patrick Carman is the author of The Land of Elyon series, which includes:

This is a series for adults and children alike. Carman's hobbies include writing, public speaking, reading, fly-fishing, paragliding, and snowboarding (according to the about the author page in the "Tenth City"). He lives in the wilderness of eastern Washington with his wife and two daughters.
