Patrick Bertoletti
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Patrick Bertoletti is a top-ranked competitive eater from Chicago, IL and a member of the International Federation of Competitive Eating. Bertoletti is known as one of the "young guns" of competitive eating. He has performed well in 2005 and has strong prospects for the 2006 competitive eating season. Bertoletti brings the passion of youth, and a strong jaw, to every contest he enters. But he is always respectful of the elder eaters, quietly watching them to learn their secrets and the way of this world.
In many respects he is an apprentice to veterans such as Rich LeFevre and Sonya Thomas, competitive eaters who have seen it all. While the older eaters may have more titles, they do not have Bertoletti's energy. He gave a strong performance in the 2005 watermelon championship and in the 2005 Krystal Square Off circuit have people speculating about a rise in the rankings for this young athlete.
