Patrick Altham Kelly

The Most Reverend Patrick Altham Kelly, KC, STL (born November 23, 1938) is an English prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He currently serves as Archbishop of Liverpool and Vice President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.

Kelly was born in Morecambe, Lancashire, and was ordained to the priesthood on February 16, 1962, at the Venerable English College, in Rome. On March 9, 1984, he was appointed Bishop of Salford. He received his episcopal consecration on the following April 3 from Bishop Thomas Holland, with Archbishops Derek Worlock and Maurice Couve de Murville serving as co-consecrators. Kelly was appointed to head the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Liverpool on May 21, 1996.
