Patricio Gabriel Araujo Vázquez (born January 30, 1988) in Colima, Colima is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Chivas de Guadalajara as a Defensive Midfielder.

He was called up to the Mexican U-17 team that won the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru. He wore the #2 shirt and was chosen as the team's captain. Often called the "golden generation" of Mexican football, great things are expected from this championship team. Araujo forced his way into the Chivas lineup, but he did not accompany the Mexican national team to the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, held in Cartagena, Colombia, because it conflicted with Chivas's Copa Libertadores campaign. "El Pato" has become a vital piece in José Manuel de la Torre plans and played all the games of the Apertura 2006, where Guadalajara obtained their 11th title. In his short career Patrcio Araujo has obtained a World Championship with Mexico in 2005, and a title with the All Mexican Team Chivas de Guadalajara in 2006. He is currently playing in the U-20 worldcup in Canada 2007 and as the team captain wishes to take his national team to the final as he did it in 2005. Right now he is not in the starting eleven of Chivas de Guadalajara because his place was taken by Edgar Mejia, another U-20 player who was cut out the U-20 Mexico national team in the last list before the Canada 2007 eliminatories, and Mejia has done well in the position since. Araujo still waits for another oportunity to be in the starting eleven.
