Patricia van Dalen

Patricia van Dalen (born Maracaibo, Venezuela, 1955), is a Venezuelan visual painter.
She graduated from Graphic Design in the "Instituto de Diseño Fundacion Neumann" in Caracas. During 1980 and 1986, the artist studied and lived in Paris, and worked with the well-known artist Yaacov Agam.
Van Dalen has taught in the Design Institute Foundation and the Architecture School of the Central University of Venezuela. Since 1978 she has been part of a great variety of individual and collective art expositions in Venezuela and internationally (Grands et Jeunes Artistes d'Aujourd'hui, Paris; Novos Valores da Arte Latino-Americana, Brasilia; Bienal de Estandartes Tijuana 2000, Mexico; Bienal Barro de América, São Paulo, Caracas, Maracaibo; Toronto International Art Fair, Canada; Feria Iberoamericana del Arte, Caracas; Estampa 2001 and Arco'02, Madrid).
Her artistic trajectory has given her certain recognitions around the world, and therefore her paintings are spread in both public and private collections.
