Patrice Martin

Patrice Martin is a Quebec politician in Gatineau, Quebec. He is the councillor of the district of Wrightville-Parc de la Montagne located in the Hull sector of the city.

Martin studied at the University of Ottawa until 1991 and received a master's degree in political sciences. He worked as a clerk in the Canadian House of Commons for over 10 years until his entry in municipal politics in the 2005 municipal elections. He announced his candidacy in District 5 which was left vacant by former councillor Marc Bureau who went on to defeat Yves Ducharme for the mayoral position during the same elections. Martin went on to succeed Bureau in that district. Bureau named him the President of the Municipal Council (meetings with general public/citizens of the City of Gatineau).

In his mandate, Martin set up several priorities including sustainable development, public safety, maintenance and recycling.
