"Pathfinder" is the 10th episode of the 6th season of Star Trek: Voyager. It features the characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Reginald Barclay and Deanna Troi.
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
On Earth, Reginald Barclay is involved in the Pathfinder project, an effort to communicate with the USS Voyager stranded in the Delta Quadrant. Barclay rebels against his superiors to accomplish this task, cracking computer systems and taking great risks. He's assisted in this endeavor by stylized representations of the Voyager crew that he created in a holodeck program.
After his success, he is made an honorary Voyager crewmember.
