Pat Sharp (born October 25, 1961) is an English radio and television presenter. In Britain he is known mainly for his work on Fun House, a children's television programme from 1988 to 2000, and his radio shows, while in continental Europe he was best remembered as the most famous of Sky Channel's VJs.

He was a DJ on BBC Radio 1 in 1982 and 1983, and made a few appearances hosting Top of the Pops around this time. In the mid-1980's he also became a DJ for Radio Mercury. For 10 years, starting in 1987, Pat was a DJ on Capital FM in London, and also presented another children's show, What's Up, Doc?. He deputised for David Jensen on the Network Chart Show and appeared as a guest on You Bet! plus Surprise, Surprise, Noel's House Party and Celebrity Squares to name but a few TV shows. In 1987, he was voted as having the worst haircut (winning this acolade more than once) at the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party awards, where he was also in the top 3 DJ's. He went on to present the Time Tunnel part of morning show on London's Heart 106.2, which he hosted as the # 1 show in the city until August 2004.

Pat has since then been a presenter on the Century FM group of stations, and maintains other media interests through his independent production company. Apart from his radio and TV activities, Pat remains a popular figure at universities within the UK, thriving on the nostalgia of those who remember Fun House. Pat is also a popular live DJ and makes regular appearances in Ibiza and Mallorca every summer.

He is also a fan of Arsenal F.C. and regulary attends matches.

In an interview with The Sun, Pat says he would like to host a new version of Fun House sometime in the year, but with adults as contestants instead of kids.[1]

ITV announced that they will air a revival of Fun House, set to air in the fall. The new series will once again have Pat as host and twins Melanie and Martina Grant as cheerleaders. It will be produced by talkbackTHAMES.

[edit] Reality television

In 2004, he participated in Channel 4 sports reality show The Games. Further reality TV involvement came on June 3, 2006 when he appeared on ITV1's X-Factor: Battle Of The Stars spin-off show X-Tra Factor: Battle Of The Stars on ITV2. As part of a "Celebs That Didn't Make It" feature, he performed a scripted "audition" interacting with old footage of judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne taken from the first X Factor series in 2004. The footage of the judges showed them expressing their disapproval of his song, and despite a second brief performance of the Fun House theme tune, he was subsequently forceably escorted from the audition room by Tony, the tough guy who is Simon's minder on the show.
