Pat Richards (born February 27, 1982 in Liverpool, New South Wales) is an Australian rugby league player for the Wigan Warriors in the English Super League, Richards previously played for the Wests Tigers in the NRL till 2005. competition. His position of choice is on the wing.

Six-foot winger Pat Richards signed a two-year contract with Wigan Warriors for the 2006 and 2007 seasons in June 2005. Pat has made over 60 appearances in his first grade career since his debut with Parramatta Eels against Melbourne Storm in 2000. He had played for Parramatta Eels between 2000-2003 before moving to Wests Tigers. His junior club was Cabramatta and he attended St Therese Primary School and Westfields Sports High. Speaking from Sydney on the day of his signing, Pat Richards said, "I had three enquiries from leading Super League clubs but I feel sure that Wigan is the club for me. They are strenghthening well for next year and Ian Millward is a very successful coach. I am looking forward to joining the club." Head Coach Ian Millward also commented, "Pat is the ideal player for the modern game. Being well over 6ft tall he fields high balls very well and has a very special and powerful kicking game. In keeping with the modern game he gives us cover for several positions. He also has an Irish background and he may bring a bit of the Irish luck with him."

Pat has an Irish EU passport and so does not count on the Wigan Warriors overseas quota.

Pat is married to Kim and looks on his move to Wigan as an opportunity to travel: "The money and what that brings was certainly a part of me signing, but it's the fact that we will have the opportunity to travel around Europe before we decide to have kids that I found even more appealing." He says his hobbies outside of rugby are playing golf, going fishing and watching DVDs
