Pat Lindsey

W. H. "Pat" Lindsey (born March 17, 1936, Meridian, Mississippi) is a Democratic State Senator from southwest Alabama (District 22).
Lindsey's family has been prominent in the area for generations. After earning a degree in geology at the University of Alabama, Lindsey attended law achool there and became a practicing attorney.
Lindsey has been married twice with both marriages ending in divorce. He is the father of two children.
Lindsey first won election to the Alabama Senate in 1966. He served eight years, being reelected in 1970. He then retired from politics for more than a decade.

Lindsey returned to the political arena in 1990. Lindsey defeated incumbent Rick Manley and returned to the State Senate where he has remained until the present.
Senator Lindsey survived a fierce re-election challenge from Republican John McMillan in 2006.
