Patrick Convery is a Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) councillor for the Castle area on Belfast City Council.

Convery has been selected to stand in the March 2007 Northern Ireland Assembly election for North Belfast. [1]

He chairs the Belfast District Policing Partnership and is a strong supporter of community policing.[2]

He was Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast in 2005.
