Pat Casey

Pat Casey is the head coach for the Oregon State Beavers baseball team. He is best known for winning the 2006 College World Series for the Beavers' first and only baseball National Championship. In his seven years with the Beavers, he has compiled a 341-237-4 record. Prior to coaching the Beavers, he coached at his alma matter George Fox University, and led them to an impressive 171-113-1 record.
He has guided the Beavers to back to back 45+ win sesasons, including back to back Pac-10 championships and trips to the College World Series. He is the only coach in NCAA history to lead a team to the National Chamionship after playing in six elimination games. After winning the national championship, the program received its first ever number 1 ranking by all four college baseball polls. He was named the Pac-10 Coach of the year in both 2005 and 2006, and was named Baseball America Coach of the Year in 2006.
After his national championship season in 2006, the University of Notre Dame offered him a position as head baseball coach for $300,000 a year. He eventually turned them down, signing a 10-year, $230,000 a year renewal deal with the Beavers.
