Pascali's Island

Pascali's Island (1988) is a film written and directed by James Dearden, and based on a 1980 novel by Barry Unsworth. It stars Ben Kingsley, Charles Dance and Helen Mirren and is set in an outpost of the Ottoman Empire in the years preceding the First World War.
