Pascal Poirier

Pascal Poirier (February 15, 1852 - September 25, 1933) was a Canadian author and the longest serving Senator.

Born in Shediac, New Brunswick, he wrote books on Acadian history and language.

He was honored as a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur by France in 1902.

He was the first Acadian appointed to the Senate. He was appointed in 1885 and served 48 years until his death in 1933.
