[edit] Intro

I've been using Wikipedia for reference for quite a while, but moved to it as a primary reference source once I realised it generally gave better and quicker information than googling. I know a fair few keen Wikipedians in "real life" so I guess it's inevitable I'd start working on it too (cue evil laughter from David Gerard).

I'm qualified as an Electronic Engineer but I'm really a software developer; I speak French and German to a good degree of fluency, and enough Spanish to be able to decipher stuff. I'm London based and tend to take *lots* of photographs, some of which might even be vaguely useful here. I'm a keen boardgamer and fan of Progressive Metal music.

I'm also a fairy sharp proofreader (or at least that's the excuse my colleagues give me for passing all their work over my desk) so I'll likely be zapping the odd typo or rogue apostrophe.
Of course, the above assertion immediately guarantees that this puge is full of typos.

I also work (occasionally) on mySociety [1] / UKCOD [2] projects, including Placeopedia [3], a map interface to Wikipedia

[edit] Pictures I've added

I have more, similar material which I've not uploaded for various reasons - feel free to ask.

[edit] Articles I've poked

Temporary note for the first few, not including typo-bashing or added pictures.

It's entirely possible this is as far as I'll go; I'm terrible for starting new "hobbies" and running out of time after a week.

[edit] Next

  • Board Games for which I might be able to provide pics, accuracy checks etc...
  • UKCOD and mySociety (note capitalisation!) as listed above. cf Category:British_charities
  • Carling Academy Brixton refers to Brixton tube and train stations as one; they're seperate. Also add new high-res pic of Brixton tube station now it's not boarded up.
