The article says "The story was translated into Marathi in 1934 and into Gujarati in 1937." But what was it originally written in? Hindi? English? --Toby Bartels 03:44, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

The original novella was written in the Bengali language. I've added this to the article. -- Classicfilms, 17 April 2006
