Ok, so we have restored my article; I had deleted it because I thought it might be better as a category, but now it serves as both. I hope someone will see fit to expand it: I shall try and expand to discuss the ethics and legal implications specific to different nations and cultures and media theory etc etc as seems relevant to an emclyclopaedia entry...

The first paranormal documentary show wasn't "Sightings". "In Search of..." with Leonard Nemoy predated "Sightings" by almost twenty years. Not to say that's the first, but it was aired in the 70's.
