Parvān (Persian: پروان, also spelt Parvan or Parwan) is one of the thirty-four provinces of Afghanistan. It is in the east of the country. Its capital is Charikar.
Other notable places are Ghorband, Shenwari, Bagram, Koh-i-Safi, Jabal Saraj, Surkh-Parsa, Turkmun, and Shekh-Ali.
At Bagram is a ISAF Provincial Reconstruction Team based which is led by the US (2006)
