Party crasher

A party crasher (also known as a gate crasher) is someone who attempts and often gains entry to a party or club to which they were not invited, often using social engineering techniques. The party crasher usually tries to blend into the party so as not to be kicked out.

Some techniques used by party crashers include the following:
- Wearing a costume or clothes similar to attendees.
- Finding a back door or gate.
- Distracting the bouncer with a question or concern.
- Finding and using a name on the guest list.
- Saying that they are with the sponsor / host.
- Walking in with confidence.
- Waving across the room or area as if waving to a friend.
- Making two friends and getting their business cards.
- Trying to get a stamp or wrist band by saying they are someone other than themselves.
- Walking in with a slab of beer or a couple of wine bottles.
- Wearing sexually suggestive clothing to persuade the bouncer.
- Climbing or breaking in through windows.
- Bribing the bouncer.
- Walking in with several people on the guest list.
