Drakken and DNAmy

Partners is the 41st episode of the TV series Kim Possible. It marks the second appearance of the villain DNAmy and the first episode to feature 2 villains working together in order to take over the world.

[edit] Plot synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Proceedings open with disgraced geneticist DNAmy sneaking into a laboratory in order to steal an experimental Genomic Sequencer. However, no sooner does she get her hands on the device, than somebody arrive to thwart her plans. Surprisingly though, it isn't Kim, but is instead Dr. Drakken, who wants the device for himself.

Drakken introduces himself to DNAmy, then introduces her to Shego. Who, in turn, introduces her to her flaming green energy bolts before escaping with the device. Things, however, don't all go Drakken's way. After stealing the Genomic Sequencer, Drakken is forced to admit that he hasn't the faintest idea how to use it. This forces him into an alliance with DNAmy, which he achieves by sweet talking his way across her threshold and complimenting her decor.

Meanwhile, just as Drakken acquires a new partner in crime, so Kim and Monique acquire partners of their own in chemistry class. However, while things seem to be looking up for Drakken, they are looking decidedly down for the girls as Mr. Barkin pairs Monique with slacker Ron - who expects her to do all the work - and Kim with sarcastic child prodigy Justine Flanner (Mayim Bialik) - who insists on doing everything her self.

As time passes, and the day of the chemistry assignment loons, Monique's efforts to get Ron to do his share come to nothing, as do Kim's attempts to impress Justine into letting her do something. Drakken, however, does slightly better. Managing to charm DNAmy into temporarily give up on creating "cute and cuddly" creature, and persuading her to produce something "mean and nasty" instead.

Unfortunately for Drakken, while "cute and cuddly" proves to be unable to take over the world, "mean and nasty" turns out to be impossible to control, leaving Middleton with something of a dinosaur problem.

Faced with Drakken's creature, Monique and Ron are forced to work together in order to buy Kim time, and Justine is forced to give Kim a chance to prove herself. Drakken is also forced to face up to the fact that he really does have feelings for DNAmy (he realizes this after she saves him from the creature), but she has eyes for someone else.

Spoilers end here.
