"Part of the Queue" is a song written by Noel Gallagher. It can be found in the British rock band Oasis' sixth album, Don't Believe the Truth. Gallagher provides the lead guitar and vocals for the track, which is considered to be a highlight of the album by both critics and fans.
In 1994 Noel said "You want to write about shagging and taking drugs and being in a band. You don't wanna write about going down the supermarket." In 2005, on the DVD of the special edition of the album, Noel states (perhaps forgetting his earlier comment) that he got the idea for the song while waiting ages in the queue when going down the supermarket.
The song itself is about living in and the nightlife of London, not going to the supermarket.
