Parkhurst, Gauteng

Parkhurst is a suburb in northwest Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa. It was founded in 1903 by the African Realty Trust and is now a community of over 2000 houses. It was used as a suburb that housed most of the soldiers returning from the World Wars (I and II). Has an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants ranging from South African Japanese to Continental. It is home to one of the most famous Croissant Bakerys in Johannesburg, the Parkhurst Foodies.
