Park, Tae-Hwan (born September 27, 1989) is a South Korean swimmer. He is currently training in Melbourne, Australia, where he is known as Tae Hwan Park.
He competed at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar where he won three gold, one silver and three bronze medals, and set two new Asian Records. At the end of the Games, he won the most number of medals by a single athlete, with seven medals. He was named the athlete of the Games.
Park also won two gold medals (1500m freestyle and 400m freestyle) and one silver medal (200m freestyle) at the 2006 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Victoria, Canada.
Park was named the 2006 Pacific Rim Male Swimmer of the Year by Swimming World Magazine, beating other competitors from the Pacific Rim, including multiple Olympic gold medallist Grant Hackett (the 2005 Pacific Rim Male Swimmer of the Year), for the honour.
