Paritala Ravindra is one of the most famous politicians Andhra Pradesh has witnessed. He was a populist leader. He is a man of Power, he has great fan following in Andhra Pradesh and especially in Anantapur District. He performed thousands of marriages of the poor people. He was even called as "Seema Simham" (Lion of Rayalaseema) in Andhra Pradesh. He was assassinated.

He was born in Ananthapur district.His father Sriramulu was a landlord and he became an activist by seeing the problems of the people of area. He was brutally murdered by landlords.

Later Ravindra and his brother also joined the activists. His brother was also got murdered by landlords. In 1989 Ravindra returned from the activists into social life.

In 1991 with the inspiration of his childhood hero and the greatest poltician Andhra Pradesh has ever witnessed NTR Ravi joined politics. He won as MLA thrice and acted as a Minister during NTR's reigme. He developed some villages with his own money.
