Paria

Paria is a village situated near Vapi in Valsad District, Gujarat. India. The town of Udwada, 5 kilometers (3 miles) away from Paria, has a railway station which connects Paria to Mumbai and western Gujarat. Its population of is approximately 5,000[citation needed].
Paria is under the Jyoti-Gram project of the Gujarat government.

Most Paria residents follow Hinduism, and most of the population are Brahmins, carpenters, dubli and retired teachers. Paria's Brahmins are known as Anavil Brahmins.

Most of the houses in Paria are Pucca houses, with rice and sugarcane the major crops cultivated. The villagers possess cattle such as cow, buffalo, and bullocks.
