Parelheiros is a rural borough in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It's placed in the extreme south of the municipality, and it has limits with the beach city of Itanhaém. Most of the area in Parelheiros is under ambiental protection, with a large forest area. It's because Parelheiros is also the borough with the lowest population in the city (although it is, in area, the largest).

The people living in Parelheiros are composed by a small rural population with a very low income, and some scattered indigenous villages.
