Parchim class corvette
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Parchim class corvette was developed for the East German Navy in the late 1970's. The Warsaw Pact designation was Project 133. The ships were designed for coastal anti-submarine warfare. Sixteen ships were built for the Volksmarine (1997-1981) and 12 modified ships were built for the Soviet Navy in 1985-1990 by Peenewerft, Wolgast. After German re-unfication the former East German ships were sold to the Indonesian Navy in 1993.
