Parasoft
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Parasoft is a software company with its headquarters in Monrovia, CA that makes several software development tools that serve to help debug programs in C, C++, Java, .NET and the web.
The company was founded in 1987 by 5 graduates from Caltech in Pasadena, California, including Adam Kolawa, the current Chairman / CEO. These people had been working together on the Cosmic Cube, a parallel computer. Not surprisingly their early efforts were centered on parallel processing and distributed computing. In the early 1990's the company transitioned to more general purpose software development tools, specializing in tools for what the company calls AEP or Automated Error Prevention. The mid-90's saw the inclusion of Java tools to what had mostly been a C/C++ product line.
