Paradise Hotel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paradise Hotel is a popular 2003 US reality television program broadcast on the Fox network. In the show, a group of single people live in a luxurious hotel resort, competing to see who can stay in the hotel the longest. Periodically, someone is removed from the show, and others are brought in to replace them. Each week couples pair off and must share a hotel room together.
Charla Pihlstrom and Keith Cuda won the first and, so far, only season of Paradise Hotel. They quickly joined forces with the other contestants Dave Kerpen, and Tara Gerard who managed to be the four last contestants in the hotel. In the finale Charla managed to win and won $250,000, and Keith Cuda won $250,000 but decided to split it with Tara Gerard.
Paradise Hotel became a modest hit in the US, and a similar show called Forever Eden was produced not long after, but didn't get good ratings. Charla now works as a professional model in the US. She has also done more tv shows after her win, such as Celebrity Poker Showdown.
The program is hosted by Amanda Byram. Rumors blamed high production costs for the show never coming back for a second season.
