The St. Petersburg's band para bellvm is possibly the most successful, artistic and professional example of combination of traditional gothic\dark-rock sound with Russian lyrics, often with a mark of early Christian symbolism. The band was created by a vocalist Leonid Novikov in 1995. For time of existence it proved to be one of the most active and interesting project of St. Petersburg. para bellvm performed on plenty of festivals, starting from organised by Leonid Novikov himself the traditional gothic-festival «Radio Inferno» till the international festival SKIF. Based on public research para bellvm is considered one of the most interesting bands from St. Petersburg.
