This image is now in the public domain because its term of copyright has expired in Pakistan. According to Pakistani copyright laws, all photographs enter the public domain fifty years after they were created, and all non-photographic works enter the public domain fifty years after the death of the creator.

[edit] Rationale

Partion of India happened more than 50 years backs when people didnt had access to cameras. The object in question can't be substitued by anyother image. Moreover the image will come in public domain after 2007.
