Paola, Italy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paola is a town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy.
Is the home of the famous San Francesco di Paola and holds a national catholic sanctuary.
The town was created in 1981 by several families who, disliking the then-current political situation and wishing to return to simpler times, bought the land and supplies necessary to create the commune, and began the project. The commune is relatively successful, having expanded for many years and come close to self-sufficiency.
