Does this have anything to do with the word pansy, to mean girly man?

Here in Austria the nickname "panzi" is often used for people with the lastname "Panzenböck". The "a" is pronounced like de "s" in "are" and the "z" is pronounced "ts". Well approximately. I'm also called "panzi" by many of my friends and therefore I use it as my wikipedia username. Now I have to see this. o_O
This panzi here and me are not the only panzis out there. E.g. there are many who use this nickname in the icq network (a lot of them with the lastname Panzenböck).
