Talk:Panzer Dragoon Saga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Well, I discovered that this game didn't have a dedicated page, so I decided to write one myself. This is my first Wikipedia entry and I'd appreciate everyone's thoughts. At some later date, possibly tomorrow, possibly in four years, I intend to add a full story synopsis and some character bios. - James Duffy
[edit] Panzer Dragoon Saga, the best game ever released.
I have played this game 15 times untill now and I believe this is the best game ever released. First of all it is an RPG, which is the most sophisticated and adictive game genre. However it has characteristics that distinguish it among the other RPG games. Its 3D graphics are a masterpiece restricted only by the console's capabilities. Its excellent soundtrack contains the vibrant dialogs of the game in its own language and the subtitles are for translating them rather than containing them. The gameplay is rich and excelent: the battles are unique, the places to explore while flying are 3D vast and complex areas and while on foot you explore sites and villages full of life and secrets.
The game's greatest asset is however its uncomparable story which gradually reveals the secrets of Edge's world: the hostility of the monsters, the cruelty of the Empire, the Craymen's self-deceipt, the strugle of the people to survive, the effort of the seekers to save the world, the evils of the Ancient Age and Sestren and the interception of the Divine Visitor. PDS has its dungeon master- Sestren- as the other RPGs but it is the only one which has its Divine Visitor. The Divine Visitor- the player himself- revitalises Edge after he has been shot in the begining of the game by the means of a circle of light which descends into the gap that Edge has fallen into. This same circle of light revitalises Edge when the game is continued after a game over. The Divine Visitor guides Edge throughout his quest, which Edge realises at the end of the game, and helps him to beat Sestren and free the world of the Ancient Age's evil. The dragon, thought by the seekers to be the Divine Visitor, turns out to be just a servant of the Devine Visitor's will to save the world.
The story is also of great depth and covers a wide variety of issues, from the modern enviromental concerns to the corruption of the people's leaders in their seek for power and domination. But more than anything else the whole story of the game is a hymn for the human value, dignity and freedom, qualities that are strongly represented by Azel, the non-human drone girl who gradually gains the human spiritual characteristics. These qualities are the ones that are compromised by the ancient evil and are restored by the defeat of it with the help of the Divine Visitor. That's why, beside all its other excellent characteristics, you can't play this game without getting in love with it and that's why you never get tired of playing it again and again. It is a game that will inspire you and make you feel- and perhaps be- more human.

- Clean up that review, add some paragraph breaks - and send it to GameFAQs. - Stormwatch 15:53, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Corrections and paragraph gaps adding done. I hope it is easier and more convenient to read it now. Thanks for the comment.195.97.66.48 17:15, 30 July 2006 (UTC)the author
