The Panachaicus (Greek, Modern: Παναχαϊκό, Ancient/Katharevousa: -on, commonly Panachaïkos or Panachaiko and Panahaiko, Voidia or Vodia in medieval, post-medieval and until the beginning of the 20th century. fr. παν pan together and Αχαϊκό Achaikos Achaean), ancient forms, Panachaikon, Panachaiko is a mountain range that spans about 20 km in length from north and south (Glafkos, to the Psathopyrgos, and 15 to 20 from east to west (east of Patras to west of Seliantika). It is the northernmost mountain range in the Peloponnese. The highest point is 1,928 m, some marked it at 1,924, 1,925, and 1,926 m. The mountain is home to the skiing resort which can be seen from almost all of Patras. There are two communications tower, one named Panachaikos at about 1,300 to 1,400 m east of Patras and the other one which is mainly used as Aroi is elevating around 800 m and Dasilio in the north. Snow is common in areas over 1,000 m in the winter. It is the northernmost mountain in the Peloponnese.
Villages and towns like Ekilistra, sections of Romanos, and parts of Kriatsi is on the mountain range, though not on the mountaintop.
A view of other mountains from the top like Oites?, Erymanthos, Chelmos/Aroania, and southwestern Central Greece mountains can also be seen from the top. The second main mountaintop is elevating at around 1,600 m and slightly north is about 800 to 1,000 metres above sea level.
The geography of the Panachaicus are forested in the western and the southern part. Much of the mountain are deforested or barren rock with grass which include much of the southern part. Farmlands dominate the western and the eastern part. Creeks and streams are around the mountain. The central part of the mountain includes barren land. The grasslands dominate the western part, the westcentral part, the northern part, the eastern part with an elevation under about 1,400 to 1,500 m. Forests dominate the areas under 800 to 1,000 m. It covers the western part, the northern part and the east-central part.
The municipal boundaries lie to the middle of the range. It borders with Messatida in the south, Patras to the west, Rio to the northwest, Sympoliteia to the northeast, parts of Erinaios to the east and the non-municipal community of Leontio to the southeast.
An ancient acropolis was located on one of the Panachaiko's highest peaks which in the mid-20th century built a Venetian fortress.
Paragliding is common in areas under 1,100 m.
Panachaikos is also a soccer team in Patras.
