Panacea (artist)

Panacea (since 2005, The Panacea, real name Mathis Mootz, born August 19, 1976) is a German electronic musician and DJ best known for dark drum and bass, often bordering on hardcore. He served an apprenticeship in classical music and was a member of the boy's choir of Windsbach, then he served an apprenticeship at the Audio Engineering School. With his first LP Low Profile Darkness in 1997 he caused a stir in the drum and bass scene. He lives and produces in Sommerhausen, a countryside town near Würzburg. He is also famously associated with the record label Position Chrome.
