The pan de muerto is a type of bread from Mexico baked during the Día de muertos season, around September and October (holiday on November 2). It is a soft bread covered with sugar, round shaped with pieces of bread representing bones on it, and another bread sphere on the top representing a skull. Other shapes include skulls, rabbits, and even little children. These "children" are dipped in a sweet drink, mainly made of blueberries and pineapple juices. It is manufactured all over the country in a traditional form or industrialized by Grupo Bimbo. Sometimes, pan de muerto can also include small pieces of black licorice inside of it.
